Edge Prep Camp - Rangers Basketball

Edge Prep Camps will sharpen your skills and get you in shape for the upcoming school season!  The camps run Sunday afternoons in September and October allowing you to stand out at your school try-outs.  

The Grades 7-8 Edge Prep Camp is for both beginner and returning players to brush up on the fundamentals of the game and build confidence for the upcoming school season.  Some schools have upward of 100 players(!) trying out for their teams and only a couple of days of try-outs to impress.  Get the Edge with our Grade 7-8 Prep Camp and hit try-outs going full speed! 

The Grades 9-12 Edge Prep Camp is for more experienced players who are looking to return to game shape and learn advanced skills to supplement their game.  Work on your individual skills this off-season and improve your game and playing time.  Get the Edge with our Grade 9-12 Prep Camp and start the season at top speed!   

Edge Prep Camps (Grades 7-12)

The details are:

  • Grades 7-8: Sundays 2:00-3:15 pm
  • Grades 9-12: Sundays 3:15-4:30 pm
  • Runs from September 22, 2019, to October 27, 2019 (except Thanksgiving weekend)
  • All sessions at the South Ridge YMCA
  • Cost is $75

Advance registration is required and sessions fill up every year.  Register early to guarantee your spot!  Edge Prep Camps are eligible for Kidsport and Jumpstart subsidies.

Athletes in grade 7 are also eligible to participate in the Medicine Hat Minor Basketball League which runs from November until March (after completion of the Fall Edge Prep Camp).  Athletes who participate in the Edge Prep Camp AND the Medicine Hat Minor Basketball League will receive a discounted price of $340 (a $30 savings!)
