Rangers Elite Spring Teams

2019 TRYOUT DATES NOW POSTED BELOW!

Rangers Basketball Club offers a number of elite spring teams each year for girls. These are representative teams that practice three to four times a week and travel to two to four tournaments throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Montana between March and June. Our U13 girls and U15 girl also host their own home tournament each spring.

Keeping with the Rangers' philosophy, we focus on individual development within a team framework. Our athletes spend practice time working on their individual skills which are transferable to whatever school they attend, rather than spending our practice time on team specific systems.  We also provide team members with training in:

  • Athletic Development
  • Nutrition
  • Mental Skills
  • Academic Achievement
  • Post-secondary recruitment

Our goal...

...is to develop athletes to be ready to play at an elite level, whether that means getting a scholarship to play college or university basketball, playing for Team Alberta or playing for Team Canada.  We have had over 40 athletes play post-secondary basketball; have placed nine athletes on the Basketball Alberta Provincial Team; and had one athlete invited to a Basketball Canada ID Camp.  One hundred percent of all athletes from the Medicine Hat area who have played for Team Alberta in the last decade have come through our Rangers Basketball Elite Spring Teams.  If this is your goal, then Rangers Basketball is the place for you!

The success of our athletes isn’t just luck.  It is a combination of coaching and work ethic.  Our coaches have extensive experience playing and coaching at the post-secondary, provincial team and elite player level throughout Canada, the United States and Internationally. Basketball is their passion and they are continually expanding their knowledge and experience to benefit Rangers athletes.  Click here for more information on our coaches.
